“That was fun wasn’t it baby?“ daddy says to Amy, as they come through the front door together. Amy was still clutching the football that her and her daddy, Ross, had been kicking around in the park. She smiled at her daddy and beamed “yes daddy…..can we go again soon….I want to be the bestest football player in the whole world”. Ross smiled at the earnest expression on his little girls face, “of course we can poppet, but right now we need to get you in the bath. “Oh daddy, I’m not that dirty…..I want to watch my Postman Pat dvd now” Amy says, her little bottom lip sticking out. “No baby, I want to get you clean and ready for bed first….may be we can watch a little of your dvd before you go to bed….if you’re a good girl” daddy says, patiently. “But I’m not tired daddy” Amy says, but gives away the truth by letting out a little yawn.
