From Hot to Cold
Michael was wondering when the rain would stop so he could get back outside. It had been lovely weather the few days before and watching the streams of water on the window pain and the drops fall from the tree caused him to sigh. It rained the whole day and Michael found that, as the day ended, it was time to rest and hope tomorrow was sunnier. It was the summer and he hoped to get to the cinema with his friends that week as there were a few films he wanted to see. He was frustrated that his day had been held back by all the rain, and he had played his games console for the most part. Michael turned off his console and prepared for bed.
Michael was always a deep sleeper and as he dropped off he thought of the heavy rain. He soon drifted asleep and, as always, had many dreams. One dream consisted of a waterfall that he was falling down and splashing into the river below, Michael was struggling to swim back up stream towards dry land. He was surrounded by walls of jungle on either side of the river banks and Michael was being dragged under by the strong rapids he was fighting against. He eventually made it to the bottom and found himself in a pool of warm water that was tranquil and comforting. He glided slowly towards the waters edge and climbed out of the pool. Michael was enjoying the now bright sun on his face before the dream ended.
