Amy’s Christmas
Amy opened her sleepy eyes. It was still dark but she could just make out a shadowy figure in her room. “Santa?” she says, groggily through her dummy. ‘Santa’ jumps slightly with surprise and then “Yes, Amy….it’s Santa” comes a reply with a voice that sounds suspiciously familiar to Amy. “Santa….what are you doing?” Amy says, after removing the dummy from her mouth. She is fully awake now. “Well Amy, I have this dilemma….erm….I mean a decision that I need to make” Santa says, adjusting his glasses. “You know I have 2 lists, one of naughty and one of nice children?” he continues. Amy feels worried now about where this is going but, thankfully, she thinks it’s too dark for Santa to see the panic in her face. “Yes, Santa” she says, with what she thinks is a brave voice but is, in truth, nothing more than a whimper “Well…..ermm…this has never happened before…..but you are not on either list!” says Santa, in a sheepish voice.
